The Circle of Friends information

Founded in 1991, the Circle of Friends wishes to support the valuable work of the Music School "Johann Sebastian Bach" in spirit as well as through material contributions.

The association constitutes a patronage independent of the official institution supporting the school.

Parts of the tasks of the Circle of Friends are:

• Maintaining a connection between the parents and the Music School
• Promoting music development, financially supporting the orchestra & chamber ensemble recreations
• Assistance with an annual Music School Celebration
• Decoration of the classrooms
• Supporting the purchase and maintenance of musical instruments
• Supporting gifted students, e.g. during the preparation of competitions such as "Jugend musiziert" (Youth creating music) and others
• Collaboration with other institutions
